It’s been a while since we changed our page. A LOT has been happening in the world that deserves your attention and demands your energy to get involved. It WILL NOT get any better until people engage in the political process. We are facing one crisis looming after another.

1. The republicans have been swept into power following the failures of the democrats to either make the changes we so desperately need or voice opposition to the corporate screed that is carrying the day.

2. In Florida, Rick Scott was able to triumph over mediocre opposition and is now determined with a republican majority in the state legislature to ram through sweeping changes.

3. In Wisconsin where Russ Feingold, a true patriot and staunch representative of progressive politics was defeated by right wing money and ideologues; we are facing one crisis looming after another.

Governor Scott Walker backdoor’s a plan that not only strips the public employee’s of their right to collectively bargain, but also rams through a provision that gives him the authority to  sell Wisconsin’s publicly-owned power plants on a no-bid basis to private corporations. Guess who’s in the energy business and could profit enormously from this giveaway? The Koch brothers. Who contributed over $47,000 to Governor Walker’scampaign.

4. Obama abandons the public option, in favor of a half-baked, for-profit healthcare system doomed to fail.

5. And the supreme court, our last resort when trying to curb the excesses of the corporate world? Apparently owned and operated by corporate patsies.

Get involved People! Get involved!!!!
